Who is that silly teacher?

Commonly known as Emilie, she would like to live in a parallel universe where she is a superhero with a bigger bladder and where people no longer think that teaching is an easy career with plenty of vacation time.

With a teaching diploma in French, she began her career as a teacher in 2014 and has since taught in different schools in both her native Mauritius and the Seychelles. While working, she gets the unique experience of interacting with pupils who have learning difficulties or come from underprivileged backgrounds. She began teaching functional literacy and numeracy in different schools in Mauritius in 2021.

Whenever The Silly Teacher is not in the classroom, she is listening to music and dancing on her own. She also likes spending time with her friends and organizing slam poetry events. Just for the sake of brevity, her favorite things on earth are her mom, food, music, the sea, and books (in that particular order).
